During the first week of August, AYLUS San Diego Branch volunteers continued their arts Challenge Camp Program. The program allows volunteers to provide musical and artistical guidance to interested students.
They taught over Zoom or Facetime, helping students learn and practice various musical and artistical skills. Volunteers placed an emphasis on helping their students grow accustomed to playing music and achieving other artistical levels of success. Their arts challenge camp activities included:
Eric Lin taught Daniel Chen and Kenneth Chen piano for one and a half hours on Saturday, 8/7.
Emma Li taught Emily Chen and Katherine Backues flute for one and a half hours on Saturday, 8/7.
Eric Li taught Andrew Chen saxophone for one and a half hours on Saturday, 8/7.
Anthony Jiang taught Ethan Chen cello for one hour on Saturday, 8/7.
In total, there were 10 participants in this event, with 4 volunteers.
