On July 24th, On behalf of the State of New Jersey Senate and General Assembly, NJ Assemblyman Daniel R. Benson honored the 31 President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) winners of the Greater Princeton branch of AYLUS (GPA) at his office (3691 Nottingham Way, Trenton, NJ 08690).
AYLUS National Honorary President Cassie Tammy Wang hosted the award ceremony along with Assemblyman Daniel R. Benson, both gave brief speeches honoring the award winners for their tremendous efforts during the past year with COVID-19 pandemic.
Assemblyman Benson also presented Cassie Tammy Wang a recognition on behalf of the State of New Jersey Senate and General Assembly for her outstanding dedication and leadership!
AYLUS promotes the development of its members’ creativity, leadership, and initiatives. AYLUS members can report volunteer hours so that all the significant contributions can be recorded and rewarded. Volunteers will receive recognition according to the hours they contributed to conducting educational activities, organizing good-will events, carrying out community service projects, etc. At the end of each reporting period, volunteers who have accumulated sufficient service hours with AYLUS are eligible to apply for a certificate for the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
GPA member Lan Cheng (8/1, 1 hr) recalled: On July 24, 2021, I attended the President’s Volunteer Service Award ceremony at Assemblyman Daniel R. Benson’s office in New Jersey. I received the Bronze award alongside many other Aylus members. I am honored to receive this award as recognition of my contributions to the community. Even though this year has been extremely difficult for everyone as we battle the Covid-19 pandemic, we were still able to support our communites. I am grateful for being able to contribute to such a meaningful cause while having so much fun along the way. I will continue to support our communites and hopefully participate in more activities next year as the pandemic ends.
