On May 8th, 2021, the leaders of Riverside County of AYLUS (RCA) had their very first (successful!) event!
In celebration of Mother’s day, RCA leaders Ally Negulescu (2hrs), Sophie Chung (1hr) and Adora Xiao (1hr) held a class for children 6-12 years old with a lot of fun topics. We first did a small history lesson talking about the origin of mother’s day. We learned about all the different people who created the holiday and celebrated it. Afterwards, everyone shared something that they love about their moms. It seems that cooking good food was the most popular thing! Then, we played a very silly Kahoot that was tons of fun! Finally, we learned how to fold origami hearts as a present for our moms. Everybody had different shapes and colors of hearts, and they all turned out incredible!
