One of most challenges for the Senior immigrants from different countries is the communication, especially spoken English. which limits and constrains them to outreach to other people and integrate into the community.
Phoenix AYLUS launch “teach senior English” volunteer activities and try to help the senior immigrants to learn English, especially for spoken and listening English; Phoenix AYLUS start to recruit more volunteers to support this event.
Audrey Zhang as a leader spent 2 hours to contact with senior centers elders to understand what their need and expectations, and then communicate with AYLUS members, created the flyers and posted them in social medias and published in local Chinese new papers for more volunteers.
