AYLUS Webinar Report 1/30/21
On January 30, 2021, AYLUS Pearland teamed up with Light and Salt Association: Project Rise and Shine and the Dawson Community Problem Solving team in order to conduct an online webinar about the COVID-19 disease. The event was organized by ten Dawson students under the team of Project Vaccination Perspectives. Around fifty people attended the event and were mostly comprised of Pearland adults. During the event, there was a thirty minute presentation about the COVID-19 disease and the recent COVID-19 vaccine. Specifically, the details of the COVID-19 vaccine were discussed, including the vaccine ingredients, benefits, side effects, and the implementation to the public. Afterwards, there was another thirty minutes dedicated to a Question and Answer section, where Dr. Zhiyi Sha, an Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Minnesota, answered a variety of the audience’s questions.
