Greater Princeton AYLUS Teamed up to Tutor Kids Math (33rd) on August 23, 2020

On August 23, 2020, student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA), Kevin Song and Karen Yang, teamed up and taught kids from West Windsor in the subjects of math. The 1.5-hour class offered by GPA members Karen Yang and Kevin Song teach Pre-Algebra class to 6 kids: Kathy, Victor, Claire, Meisu, Claire, and Mia.

This week we continued to learn our Pre Algebra content- however, it was time to learn about geometry! We first checked homework from last class and answered questions the kids may have had.  We then began class by making sure kids understood what parallel lines were, what transversals were and how to identify them. We also used the same software from last class to help kids visualize the lines and gave them some problems to help them conclude which lines were parallel. We continued by explaining what triangles were and the rules behind them and gave the students some problems to solve. Then, we assigned homework for the next class.
