On November 3, 2019, the Edison Branch of AYLUS Victoria He, Prince Hu and Yumin Li and Li Zhang went to the Menlo Park Veterans Memorial Home to volunteer.
It’s a beautiful fall day. There, they talked to the residents about their day, their past service in the military, and what the future potentially had in store for the young volunteers. Afterwards, the volunteers helped escort the residents to the cafeteria to play bingo game. Some of them sat next to the residents and helped them play, and others wandered around, helping only when necessary. After the games were done, with an intense last round of “full-board” bingo, the residents were taken back to their rooms, or to the main hall for more social activities.
