Student members of the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA), Kevin Song and Karen Yang, teamed up and taught 5 kids from West Windsor in the subjects of math and public speaking.
The 3-hour class starts with an hour of prep for gathering materials around noon. Then at 3:30-5:30 Karen and Kevin teach Pre-Algebra class followed by public speaking. The 5 kids, Kathy, Victor, Claire, Claire, Meisu, are in 5th grade, and being taught Pre-Algebra and public speaking techniques, including debate, Model UN and presentation.
Homework will be assigned, and multiple exams given out during the class periods. The teachers are glad to teach the kids and in math and public speaking and glad to learn how to teach.
They meet on Sundays once a week since May 5, 2019, with certain holiday breaks in between. The program will conclude by June 2020. Below summarizes the date, time, location, and material being taught each time of tutoring.
