20190914 East Cobb Branch Youth Tutoring 2019-2020 V – Mountain View Library

On September 14th, the East Cobb Branch of AYLUS held East Cobb Youth Tutoring program at Mountain View Library. A total of five students came to the program, with two tutors to help the students.

The East Cobb Branch holds the Youth Tutoring program every Saturday during school days, providing the school-age kids in the Cobb County area an opportunity to get tutoring on various subjects on the weekends outside of school The interaction between tutors and students also makes learning more enjoyable.

During this tutoring session, the student tutors helped five students on math and reading, ranging from Kindergarten to 4th grade. This program provides a comfortable environment to ask for help in academics such as Math and Reading.

Due to some last-minute cancellations, the tutors were able to help sort and re-shelf 3 carts of books in the Children’s library. The library staff welcomed the new installed program and are very appreciative of our tutor students’ giving-back to the community. It’s very encouraging to hear that they expressed their continued support to this program. The branch members are looking forward to seeing more students join our East Cobb Youth Tutoring Program to give back to our local community.
