From 6:45 to 10:00 AM on Friday, July 4, the Bellaire Branch of AYLUS volunteered at the City of Bellaire Independence Day Parade.
The City of Bellaire holds its Independence Day Parade annually every July 4. Prior to the parade, volunteers set up traffic cones along the intersection of several streets to block through traffic and helped redirect drivers to avoid the parade route. Volunteers stayed through the duration of the parade, which began around 9:00 AM. After the parade concluded, volunteers assisted with cleanup by putting away the traffic cones and reopening streets. Members’ efforts contributed to an efficient and organized 4th of July parade for the Bellaire community.
9 AYLUS volunteers participated in this event (3.25 hours): Justin Wang, Miranda Wang, Matthew Zong, Bella Zhu, Selina Yuan, Kyle Tang, Yiqian Long, Ryan Li, David Li
