AYLUS Great Neck Branch Tutoring At Station Library 33rd (6/24/25)

On June 24th, AYLUS members continued our ongoing educational support for local children at the Great Neck Station Library. During this session, we tutored students in both math and reading, offering personalized help based on their needs and skill levels. In math, we covered topics including probability, identifying prime and composite numbers, division with decimals, and solving word problems involving speed and distance. For reading, we guided students through comprehension passages, helped them answer short response questions, and read stories together to build vocabulary and engagement.

It was a productive session, and us volunteers were glad to see the students actively participating and making progress in their understanding. This session once again underscored the importance of accessible academic support and the power of peer mentorship. We look forward to continuing these sessions and supporting academic growth in our community.
