From 6:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 21, the Bellaire Branch of AYLUS volunteered at Evelyn’s Park (4400 Bellaire Blvd, Bellaire, TX 77401-4306).
Evelyn’s Park Conservancy was originally founded as a plant nursery in 1910, and
construction of the park began in 2009. Today, the park serves as a recreational area for community members to relax, gather together, and spend time outdoors.
At this event, AYLUS Bellaire Branch volunteers collected various types of trash from around the park, including plastic bottles, straws, utensils, and others. Four full bags of garbage were disposed of at the event’s conclusion.
