As a continuation of our Community Cleanup Project founded under the Hometown Sammamish Youth Action Group, on May 25, 2025, the AYLUS Lake Washington Branch organized the second community cleanup event at Beaver Lake Park in Sammamish. From 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, branch members Eric Huang, Jerry Yang, Elissa Song, Kevin Chen, Joey Zhu, Emily Qi, Tristan Edwar, and Yuhan Song walked around the park, collecting various pieces of trash accumulating to around 6 half-full garbage bags.
Beaver Lake is a 154 acre park with fishing options, hiking trails, and ball fields. With this cleanup event, our members help create a cleaner and more pleasant environment for people in the park. As a group, we hope to improve the cleanliness and delight in our communities which we can achieve by helping clean up our parks.
