Thursday, June 19th, 2025, volunteers gathered at the great neck station library in order to help students with a variety of studies. Linzi Yeung and Ivy Li worked with a fifth grader to help with social studies homework as well as teaching her about the history of coins. Rebecca Xu also helped with various math topics and math homework with students. They worked with decimals and multiplying and dividing unequal numbers. Brian Zhang helped a kid identify parallel and perpendicular lines and helped with negative numbers in math homework. Catherine Wang also helped a student identify pollutants in the environment. They worked on how garbage can impact ecosystems and habitats in negative ways. Overall, it was an extremely productive tutoring session.
