AYLUS Great Neck Branch Tutoring At Station Library 31st (6/17/25)

High school student volunteers at AYLUS went to the Great Neck Library Station Branch on Tuesday, June 17 and tutored elementary students from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Throughout the hour, volunteers would be assigned to tutor the younger students who came into the library. The volunteers helped the students with math and English assignments. Elaine Xing for instance tutored a boy on math assignments regarding decimals, venn diagrams, and word problems. Emma Ding sat at a table with another boy, who was working on his homework. Meanwhile, Kylie Lam also helped a girl at a separate table. At the end of the hour, the volunteers felt accomplished despite the relatively smaller number of students at the library that day. The AYLUS volunteers hope the students benefited from Tuesday’s tutoring session and that more students come to the library for their next session.
