On Sunday afternoon, June 16th, 2019, Greater Princeton AYLUS members made a lemonade fundraiser for their beloved teacher in Plainsboro, NJ.
GPA members, Gina Shen, Angelina Liu, and Amy Lin set up a lemonade stand in front of HuaXia Plainsboro Chinese School to raise money for Ms. Wei Su, a Chinese teacher who is fighting cancer. The lemonade stand was open from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
They sold peach lemonade, fresh honey lemonade, regular lemonade, and strawberry lemonade as well as cookies and pastries. All the proceeds will go to Ms. Su and will help her battle the Ovarian Clear Cell Cancer disease.
Within the 3.5 hours, GPA members made a total of $210.88. Some of this money was from donors that only wanted to help Ms. Su and didn’t require any lemonade or cookies. A sixth grade class also came in and bought six big cups of lemonade. Fellow GPA members also showed their support.
Ms. Su came and was very touched that they sold lemonade to help her battle cancer. Ms. Su was very happy and had a few cups of lemonade and a few cookies. We are very grateful to everyone who donated. Any amount, small or large, can make a difference.
THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
