On April 30th, members of the AYLUS Morris Branch demonstrated their commitment to community service by actively participating in a diaper drive in partnership with Moms Helping Moms, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential baby items to families in need. Understanding the importance of supporting families with young children, the AYLUS Morris members organized and participated in a collection drive, gathering diapers to help ease the financial burden for parents facing economic challenges. Over the course of the drive, members worked diligently to collect donations from their local communities, spreading awareness about the cause and encouraging others to contribute. Their efforts paid off as they successfully gathered seven large bags of diapers, totaling an impressive 234 pieces. These diapers were carefully sorted, packaged, and then dropped off at the local library on April 30th, where Moms Helping Moms coordinated their collection efforts. The diaper donation will go a long way in helping ensure babies and toddlers have access to clean and reliable diapers, promoting health and dignity for both children and parents. Through their participation, AYLUS Morris Branch members not only contributed meaningful aid but also gained valuable experience in organizing service initiatives and advocating for social causes. Their involvement in the diaper drive reflects the core values of AYLUS—leadership, service, and compassion—and shows how youth can make a tangible impact in their communities. The success of this project highlights the power of collaboration between youth volunteers and local nonprofit organizations in creating positive change. The Morris Branch looks forward to continuing its partnership with Moms Helping Moms and supporting future donation drives to further assist families in need.
