On April 18, 2025, members of AYLUS Frisco gathered at a neighborhood pavilion in the Frisco Community to take part in a large-scale packing event for the African Library Project. This year’s shipment, destined for a newly established library in Uganda, marked a significant milestone in our chapter’s international outreach efforts. Over the course of the morning, volunteers worked together efficiently to pack 27 boxes containing over 1,000 books. Each box was first lined with a protective plastic bag to prevent moisture damage during transit, then filled with carefully sorted books, and finally sealed securely with clear packing tape. Despite the volume of materials, the entire process was completed within a few focused hours, demonstrating the strength of collaboration and shared purpose among participants. This shipment represents our chapter’s continued dedication to advancing global literacy and providing educational resources where they are needed most.
