Edison Branch, June 2nd, 2019
The AYLUS Edison Branch conducted the community social event at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home on June 2nd, 2019. It was the day after children’s day. Children’s Day has been celebrated nationally with the government and the newspapers of the time declaring it a day for the children. Nowadays even adults celebrate “Children’s Day” for commemorating the joy of childhood. Zhuocheng Prince Hu, Peini Angela Hu, Xin Chen, ,Qin Zhang and Anmei Deng went to the Veterans Memorial Home and talked with the seniors about the stories of childhood, shared the tome like chocolate. They transported the disabled seniors to the town square before “Name that Tune w/Prizes” Party started. To the rhythm of happy songs, they sing and danced together. Finally they transported the seniors back respectively. Anmei Deng was responsible for taking pictures during the afternoon. The AYLUS Edison Branch are glad to shared the children’s day happiness with the seniors, feeling the meaning and continuation of life.
