On April 19th, 2025, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, members from the AYLUS Bellaire branch volunteered at the Houston Food Bank/
The Houston Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that delivers food and other essentials through a network of over 1,600 community partners to those in need.
At this event, volunteers organized unsorted dry goods donated to the food bank. These items were then checked for expiration date, cleaned, and packaged into boxes made by other volunteers. In this shift, volunteers filled 7 pallets, equivalent to 8,018 pounds of food or 7,800 meals.
