On the afternoon of April 14, 2025, members of the AYLUS Morris Branch gathered to participate in a meaningful Easter community service project. Demonstrating compassion and dedication, the volunteers came together to pack about 200 Easter eggs and candy bags, bringing joy to those who may not otherwise have the chance to celebrate the holiday. Each eggs and bags were thoughtfully assembled with sweet treats, and a cheerful spirit, reflecting the group’s desire to spread kindness and positivity throughout the community.
Once the packing was completed, the members delivered all 200 items to the Chatham Methodist Church distributor, a local organization committed to supporting underprivileged individuals and families in the area. These Easter gifts will be distributed in the days leading up to the holiday, offering a small but heartfelt gesture to brighten the season for recipients who are facing difficult circumstances.
This project not only provided holiday cheer but also served as a reminder of the power of youth involvement in service. The AYLUS Morris Branch members took great pride in knowing that their efforts would help create happy moments for children and families who might otherwise be overlooked during the holiday season. It was a hands-on experience that strengthened their sense of responsibility and deepened their connection to the community.
By working together on this initiative, the volunteers demonstrated teamwork, empathy, and the joy of giving. Their partnership with Chatham Methodist Church also showed how local organizations can unite to make a greater impact. As the Easter season approaches, the AYLUS Morris Branch hopes these small gifts will bring smiles and serve as a reminder that kindness, no matter how simple, can go a long way in making others feel valued and remembered.
