Greater Princeton AYLUS, NJ Branch (GPA) officially started an “Art and Music From Heart, You Could Save a Life” project on Monday, May 27th, 2019. A Benefit Art Exhibition is to be hosted on Friday night, June 7th, 2019 (7-10). Another Benefit Music Performance is planned for Saturday afternoon, June 29th, 2019 (1:30-4:30).
Beneficiary: Wei Su, a professional teacher for 20 years in Princeton area. She was diagnosed with cancer and had surgery in 2018. A new tumor later showed up; to cut it out might cause death. Although she has no income or family for support, Wei always faces everything positively with big smiles. No matter how long her life will be, she lives every day as wonderful as can be. She will donate her body to serve the medical field. Many thanks to everyone for the support and effort to help her fight cancer, and she is to do her best to return the love people give her!
On Monday, May 27th (2 hours), GPA member Amy Lin, Team Leader of “Humanitarian Care” project, visited her previous Chinese teacher, Ms. Su. They recalled all the wonderful time they had in school for years. Ms. Su was so happy to meet with one of her favorite students, kept smiling all the time, although she had to endure a lot of pain every minute. Amy is to visit Ms. Su from now on regularly, and update it with the GPA President, Cassie Tammy Wang.
On Thursday, May 30th (3 hours), Cassie Tammy Wang participated in a ceremony in the NJ State Museum, talking to more than 50 people about the planned Benefit Art Exhibition (6/7) and Benefit Music Performance (6/29). Flyers were spread out quickly. Ceremony attendants, students, their parents and friends were invited to both events. Even if they can not make it in person the link of donation was offered at Rescue Music Foundation’s website:
Rescue Music Foundation’s next concert in Princeton NJ with AYLUS!
In the afternoon, May 30th, Cassie went to the West Windsor Library to obtain authorization of having those flyers posted there. In addition, the digital copies of those flyers are being loaded onto WeChat Moments, numerous group chats, and among 10000+ students and teachers that Ms. had been teaching for more than 20 years!
GPA encourages all student members and their parents to participate in this meaningful “Art and Music From Heart, You Could Save a Life” Project. To do that, just spread out the flyers, attend the events with your friends, and donate online or in person. It is a wonderful opportunity for our members to become even better. THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!
