On May 24, 2019, 8 members of East Cobb Young Musicians performed at Alto at Allegro and Sunrise Senior center for ONE hour each.
Members performed pieces such as Concerto No.1 in A minor by Accolay and Vivaldi Sonata in A minor. A variety of musicians performed such as cellist, violinists, and pianists. The musicians prepared both joyful and intense pieces for the seniors.
When we arrived at both Alto Senior Center, both the staff and the seniors welcomed the members with excited faces. While the members performed, the seniors listened to the music with cheerful smiles and clapped along with the music. The staff even complimented the musicians on how wonderful the music performed was.
Although there were not many seniors in the audience when we arrived at Sunrise Senior Center, our music brought great attraction, and many seniors came to enjoy the music performed during the performance. Since the musicians performed in the atrium of the senior center, the music rung throughout the senior center, bringing joy to all those who heard the music.
The members were delighted to be able to perform for such an amazing audience. They were happy to be able to share their love of music with the seniors. The members were not only communicate through the music with the seniors, but the members were also able to chat with the seniors after the performance.
