AYLUS Greater Princeton, NJ Branch (GPA) has many members that are talented in playing instruments, singing, and dancing, etc, at the same time, many of them are fond of Chinese Culture. Using their talents, GPA encourages its members to promote Chinese Culture year-round. Talented GPA members always look for opportunities to give performances at locations that may bring their community a lot of joy.
February 5th would be the first day of Lunar New Year of 2019. On January 2nd, twenty two GPA members spent 3 hours between 1 and 4 p.m. to provide audience from the community a marvelous “Happy Lunar New Year Party” in West Windsor Library, New Jersey. The event was hosted by the West Windsor Librarian, Melissa Nemitz, and two Founders of Music Unite, Catherine Jiang & Amanda Chen. GPA President Cassie Tammy Wang and many GPA members were actively involved in volunteering and putting together the performance program.
The performance was actually put together elaborately to make the program quite attractive with playing a variety of instruments, including the Chinese Guzheng, Erhu, and violin; singing in both English and Chinese; Chinese folk dancing; playing magic tricks, and the best of all, Chinese Martial Arts of Tiger Fist lesson for children! All the audience attending the party were extremely appreciative of the performance and enjoyed it very much.
