On October 27th, the East Cobb Youth Tutoring launched its seventh tutoring program at East Cobb Library. For two hours, three members tutored seven kids in total. Since not every student that signed up came the tutors had plenty of time to teach the students.
The tutors taught math and reading to kids K-7th grade. Since every student was different, the tutors sometimes had a hard time trying to understand how a student learn. If a student didn’t understand a certain topic, the tutors can use different examples like drawing pictures and looking at main parts of a story to solve the problem.
The East Cobb Branch holds tutoring sessions every Saturday at East Cobb Library to help younger kids in academics during school year.
