On December 10th, Sunday morning, members of Aylus Oyster Bay gathered at Holiday Farms Supermarket Woodbury to support Island Harvest’s “The Turkey & Trimmings Collection Campaign.” We arranged tables and chairs, posted banners, set up large food donation box, and placed donation collection box. Despite the rain and relatively few supermarket customers, we actively distributed flyers, promoted the campaign, and urged them to contribute food and funds. Despite the challenges, we received generous donations of both food and funds, making it a fulfilling experience.
We will continue our unwavering efforts, contributing our part to the “Solve Hunger” initiative.
Gratitude to our twelve volunteers – together, our group dedicated a total of 45 hours to volunteering.
