On 10/25/2023, Aylus Great Neck hosted its fifth weekly tutoring session, this time open for all children in the Station Branch of the Great Neck Library.
We only had one student come this time, so our volunteers Lucas Liao, Katie Wang, Kalli Zhu, Siying Chem, Katie Yang, and Ruiqi Liu each helped the student a little. We focused on helping the student identify the verb and predicate of a sentence, and we led him through a worksheet which focused on this skill.
After about an hour of working on the worksheet, we said goodbye to the student and left the library.
