During the month of June and July, East cobb branch held summer camps for local children. our camps were youth piano workshop, Python programming camp and teaching tennis. piano workshop emulated an immersive masterclass environment with the purpose of offering a unique learning and elevating interest in playing the piano.Prior to the workshop, participants prepared their respective pieces, which were sent to Albert to look over and practice. First, the participants introduced themselves and became familiar with each other. Then, they performed their pieces, and Albert provided feedback and practice tips. Albert demonstrated how he would approach and play the pieces and explained how they could execute the technical and emotional aspects of the piece. After that, Albert discussed his piano experience, including competitions, and suggested what programs the participants should aim for. Overall, the kids were engaged throughout the workshop and were able to gain insights on how they can develop their piano skills.
East Cobb Branch host summer camps for children in local community June and July 2023
For the months of July, East cobb members taught a group of 5 students ranging from 10-15 years old. Before exercise, we demonstrated various stretches to avoid injury. we begin with teaching the students basic forehand technique, then moving to live balls. For backhands, the same process was repeated. Then the students begin attempting to hit to each other at the service line, then slowly moved back until they were at the baseline. Students were given drills to improve accuracy and consistency.
we learned patience and understood the difficulty of teaching other kids. In addition, we learned to better interact with parents and manage time to reserve tennis courts.
