On Saturday May 13, Murrieta AYLUS members performed a park cleanup at Meadows Park. They arrived to visit a newfound sign of their adoption of the park. Fueled with pride, they hastened to pick up any waste. This included the usual candy wrappers and bottle caps, and cigarettes in the parking lot. They split up to cover more ground, even discovering new plants, scattered mushrooms, and a conspicuous trail of peanut shells. They circled around the pathways, the field, the playground, and rounded out the day with the parking lot. After completion, they disposed of all of the trash, cleaning their hands in success.
