With 3000 books we collected at the beginning of this year, we were able to categorize many 4th grade to 8th grade books. San Diego branch contacted us that in order to make a full library, they really need 4th grade to 8th grade books since they collected many Kindergarten to 3rd grade books. In the afternoon of May 6th 2023, seven members of our branch gathered together to start packaging 250 4th-8th grade books into the special media boxes. First, two members carefully checked each book to see if the reading levels are correct. Then we placed a plastic bag inside the box to prevent water damages. After that we sorted the books into boxes based on the size since each box can not exceed 30 pounds. Each box contained 24-50 books and we made sure that each box contained the maximum number of books possible to conserve resources. After 6 hours of hard work, we were able to package 250 4th-8th grade books which equals to a quarter of a library. We planed to continue our mission to complete packaging 250 books on the next day, total 500 books, a half of a library.
