On Friday, April 28th, members from AYLUS volunteered with Bridges From Borders in their #OneWorld Community Concert & Exhibit to help immigrants and refugees in our local community. Volunteers helped as greeters, showcased the stories that were featured in the MyStory project of individuals through their journey to the United States, and handed out bubble tea at the Hidden716 showcase, which was a crowd favorite. Through this event, the volunteers were able to empower individuals who felt under-represented by fostering an open and inviting forum of communication in the “Talk and Listen” section through which individuals could voice their concerns and views.
