From March 8th to March 23rd, 2023, our branch members have been donating two Daisy Tricky Tray Baskets (a school Basket and a baking basket) to the Daisy Recreation Program for their Tricky Tray in April! Daisy Tricky Tray Baskets is a fundraiser for Daisy Recreation, an organization dedicated to providing programming for individuals with special needs in East Brunswick, NJ, and the surrounding areas. To spread the word about the drive, Daniel Yu constructed a digital flyer and sent it to social media platforms such as WeChat and discord.
On March 23, AYLUS volunteers went to Daisy, located in East Brunswick, to drop off the collected supplies. In total, we collected about 135 items, including 97 items of school supplies and 38 items of baking supplies. We were also able to deliver a $30 gift card. Many of our members were able to pitch in and donate to the drive.
Thanks to all the members who participated in this drive, the collections will make a direct difference in the lives of the special needs population that reside in and around our community. It will greatly enrich the lives of special needs people.
