On March 19th, AYLUS volunteers organized an environmental protection activity in a forest beside the Greenway in Cary, North Carolina. The main purpose of this activity is to restore forests and grasslands, slow down the degradation of the land and the deterioration of the ecological environment. The AYLUS volunteer team is composed of a group of enthusiastic middle school students who voluntarily participate. Through their actions, they convey environmental awareness and the importance of protecting the natural environment to the community and the public.
The main task of this activity is to remove the dead and dry trees in the forest, so that the grasslands can be restored and rebuilt. Volunteers bring their own tools and gloves to chop up the trees and move them to another area. This work requires the full dedication and concentration of volunteers. They must not only ensure safety and efficiency, but also pay attention not to harm other creatures and the natural environment.
The activity lasted for 2 hours. Although the weather was cold, the enthusiasm and perseverance of the AYLUS volunteer team remained the same. They help each other solve problems and complete tasks together. In the end, they managed to complete all the work, and the grass was restored to its original appearance. This event is of great significance to the protection of the natural environment and community development, and it also allowed the AYLUS volunteer team to win the affirmation and praise of the community residents.
