On January 21st, 2023, AYLUS RSM branch members participated in helping seniors’ lantern festival party and donated handcrafted gifts for the seniors at Irvine Every Green Club.
Members made paper lanterns to celebrate the Spring Lantern Festival and expressed care for the Chinese seniors at the club.
Members help set up seatings and pass out lunch to the seniors, they even participate in the events alongside the seniors to offer a sense of familiarity.
The assistance of this Spring Lantern Festival party provided cultural knowledge and was an excellent opportunity for the members to unite with their roots while showing gratitude for old people who might not be able to connect with their grandchildren as often.
