Greater Princeton AYLUS Volunteers at 10th Annual Mercer County Turkey Trot on November 24th, 2022

On Thursday, November 24th, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) members volunteered at the 2022 Mercer County Turkey Trot 5K Run/One-Mile Walk hosted in the West Picnic Area (Mercer County Park, West Windsor, NJ 08550).

The Tenth Annual Mercer County Turkey Trot — a 5K race and 1-mile walk — will take place Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey. The race has grown from a modest affair to a sold-out event that is a kickoff highlight of the local holiday season.

The proceeds from the race support our local food banks and pantries, and their need has never been greater. In past years, our participants have ranged from casual runners and walkers to highly competitive athletes who appreciate the automatic timing and USATF-certified course.  Many local families have made the Turkey Trot an annual tradition. Please join us for a fun, social, and athletic start to Thanksgiving that benefits the less fortunate members of our community.  On behalf of our sponsors, many volunteers, and the Turkey Trot Team, we look forward to seeing you!

GPA members helped at the set-up, check-in, T-shirt distribution, run/walk supporters, turkey mascot, and other positions.

GPA Volunteers: Sarah Yan (10/24, Communications & flyers, 3 hrs), Cici Yang (11/24, supporter, 3 hrs), Vivien Yang (11/24, supporter, 3 hrs), Daniel Shi (11/24, supporter, 3 hrs), Dessie Yang (11/24, run supporter, 1.5 hrs), Anna Weng (11/24, 5K supporter, 3 hrs), Emma Liu (11/24, supporter, 3 hrs), Eric Li (11/24, 3 hrs), Dylan Li (11/24, 3 hrs), and more.
