The Irvine Branch of AYLUS spent the last two weeks designing mid-autumn lanterns for the senior community!
Volunteers, over the past few weeks, worked individually on their own renditions of what would eventually become beautiful, unique yet traditional Chinese lanterns in celebration of the mooncake festival. We chose to send it to the greatest generation of our community, the seniors. They found our work amazing, and we were so glad to see the smiles on their faces as they received the lanterns.
Overall, the event was very successful and we hope to continue celebrating similar traditions in the future!
