On May 18, 2022, one member from the AYLUS East Cobb Branch collaborated with the Center for Pan Asian Community Services (CPACS) to reach out to Asian American and Pacific Islander voters and encourage them to use their vote to uplift our communities. At the beginning, CPACS staff did a training on specific information and resources to use to help educate Georgia Voters and then how to use their Phonebanking System called Thrutalk. Their banks are completely non-partisan.
Phone banking was the method used because there was two-way communication between the volunteer and the person being called. The member enjoyed the experience of being able to help their community in a new way.
