On Sunday, June 22,2025 three competitive swimmers and volunteers from AYLUS Pearland Yurong, Yushan, and Jordana taught swimming lessons to community kids. This is the 7th lesson in a 3-week-long series.
Yurong, Jordana, and Yushan helped Emma, Audrey, Darren, Tyler, Jasper, and Lawrence as a group practice with a kicking game. After the game, Yurong and Yushan worked with Darren, Emma, and Jasper on their underwater streamline while Jordana helped Tyler, Lawrence, and Audrey improve on their backstroke. Yurong then taught Darren, Tyler, Emma, and Audrey how to do Backstroke streamline. The last 10 minutes of class, they played kicking rock, paper, scissors with the coaches.
Today’s swim lesson went well! Everyone was either learning something new or getting better at what they already knew. The kids had a lot of fun hanging out together and felt comfortable with the coaches and other swimmers. It was a great time for everyone!
