AYLUS Frisco & Plano Branch Volunteering at FMSC event on May 17th,2025

On May 17th, eight people participated in the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) volunteer event. We started in a large room with other volunteers, where the staff gave an introduction about the organization and explained the rules and procedures.

After the explanation, we split into smaller groups and got ready to pack meals. We followed all the hygiene guidelines, making sure to wash our hands thoroughly, wear gloves, and avoid touching the inside of the bags or any food. The meals we packed included rice, soy, vegetables, and vitamins—designed to provide complete nutrition for those in need.

The work itself was repetitive but highly efficient. To keep things fun and energetic, the staff organized mini challenges during the session. One of them was the “3 boxes in 1 song” challenge, where everyone in the room tried to pack 3 boxes in under 2 minutes.

In total, we packed about 97 boxes, which is enough to feed 57 children for an entire year. After the packing session, we helped clean up by collecting leftover food from the tables (which was donated to local farmers), sweeping the floors, and wiping down all surfaces.

Overall, it was a rewarding experience that combined teamwork, service, and a sense of fun—all while supporting a great cause.

    Please fix it.
