AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivers! Food Pantry (71th) on June 12th, 2025

On Thursday, June 12th, members of the Roslyn Branch of AYLUS volunteered at NOSH Delivers, a nonprofit that helps make food more accessible to families in the North Shore area. NOSH started during the pandemic to deliver meals to families. Now, they’re open four days a week and offer food pick-ups, deliveries, and even a food hotline for those who can’t get to the pantry themselves.

During our time there, we helped set up an assembly line to pack bags with fresh produce and meat.

We also helped out inside NOSH’s indoor food pantry, where people can come in and choose the groceries they need. We offered help by showing them what they could pick from and making sure everyone knew how many items they could take. Outside, at the farmer’s market section, we helped hand out more fresh food like fruits, vegetables, and meat.

We wrapped up the day by cleaning up—flattening boxes, cleaning up the tables. Volunteering at NOSH was a great way to connect with the community and give back to those who need a little extra help.

Members that participated:
