On June 5, 2025, AYLUS Great Neck held its 27th tutoring session at the Great Neck Library Station Branch. From 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, our volunteers Emma Ding, Rebecca Xu, Linzi Yeung, Brian Zhang, and Ivy Li worked with their respective tutees. Our volunteers worked with their tutees, who included elementary school students and English learners. We worked with the young tutees on their math homework, helping them understand advanced mathematical concepts such as PEMDAS and statistics. Additionally, we helped a non-native English speaker practice her English by reading stories and practicing her daily vocabulary.
Our volunteers enjoyed another successful and collaborative tutoring session at the library, continuing to foster the learning environment where everyone can thrive.
