On January 5th, we gathered at the Cypress Meadow Clubhouse in Allen, TX, to create pet toys from old clothes for the cats and dogs at the local animal shelter. Since many of our volunteers were new to this activity, we started by teaching them the basic techniques for making the toys. We also decided to challenge ourselves by exploring more intricate styles, which meant taking extra time to learn the process. We began by transforming old t-shirts into yarn, then used it to craft the toys. After finishing, we made sure to clean up. In total, we made 22 pet toys today. Overall, it was a fun and rewarding experience. We were thrilled to contribute to the well-being of the shelter animals by providing them with these handmade toys.
