Murrieta AYLUS Lends a Hand to The Little Garden of Hope Project (48th) (12/14/2024)

On December 14, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members returned to their garden work, diving back into the routine of maintaining and nurturing Jacob’s house’s garden. One of the key tasks for the day was hand-pollinating the sponge gourd, ensuring the flowers would yield healthy, abundant fruit. With careful attention, the volunteers gently applied pollen to each blossom, a necessary step to guarantee a successful harvest. In addition to this, it was a harvest day, and members were excited to collect the vegetables. They gathered fresh celery, crisp lettuce, tender yu choy sum, aromatic parsley, green onions, chilis and chives. Each plant was carefully harvested, washed, and prepared for the residents!
