On August 24, 2024, the ALFC Generosity Center was once again filled with the energy and enthusiasm of youth volunteers from the AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch. The event saw a strong turnout, with 31 dedicated students showing up to distribute canned food to those in need. This event was particularly notable for the inclusion of three new volunteers: Zejun Zhu, Qingxiao Hu, and Zhiman Li, highlighting the growing interest in community service among the youth.
The volunteers worked diligently from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM, ensuring that the distribution went smoothly. Despite the long hours, their dedication was evident throughout the day. To show their appreciation, the organizers provided bread, desserts, and water for the volunteers, which was a welcome treat during their service.
The student volunteers included Yangxuezhe Sun, Minghao Shi, Yanhang Guo, Yuandun An, Yanru Su, Jennifer Kuang, Cynthia Shen, Yixuan Yuan, Shuyu Yan, Haoyu Zhang, Xuanyu Li, Lingnai Yang, Waiki Hou, Zhu Zhu, Zejun Zhu, Han Jun, Angelynne Zhu, Qiaoyan Peng, Euphia Chi, Yuxuan Huang, Xitong Wang, Qingxiao Hu, Ivan Fu, Jiajun Zhao, Zhiman Li, Zhiwei Lin, Junzuo Chen, Hanxuan Feng, Ruan Li, Yuzhu Jin, Hao Hua, and Feronia Zhou. Among them, Yangxuezhe Sun and Angelynne Zhu contributed three hours of service each, while the other volunteers each contributed six hours.
The successful completion of the tasks underscored the dedication and teamwork of the volunteers. The organizers commended them for their hard work, and the volunteers felt a strong sense of accomplishment, knowing they had made a meaningful contribution to their community.
The event concluded with reflection and pride. The volunteers were not only grateful for the opportunity to serve but also inspired to continue their efforts in future events.
