AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteers at Steppingstone Park (11th) 7/21/24

On a bright Sunday morning, July 21, 2024, AYLUS volunteers gathered at Stepping Stone Park to clean up trash and remove weeds. Wearing gloves and carrying trash bags and gardening tools, they diligently cleared away litter and overgrown plants, enhancing the natural beauty of the park. This effort not only improved the park’s appearance but also protected the plants within it from the harmful effects of trash and invasive species.

The significance of this volunteer work extends beyond direct environmental benefits. It fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility, encouraging participants to take ownership of their local environment. In addition, these initiatives raise awareness of environmental protection and inspire more sustainable practices in daily life. By maintaining Steppingstone Park, volunteers ensure that it remains a pristine and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.
