AYLUS Great Neck Branch Volunteered for Special Needs Kids on 7/19/2024(27th)

On Friday, July 19th, from 5pm to 7pm, the Great Neck Branch of AYLUS volunteered to teach special needs kids and other children how to swim or improve their strokes. Parkwood Pool was lively on such a sunny day and everyone had a good time. The volunteers were meticulous in their instruction. For example, Kylie Lam taught one child how to regulate their breathing for swimming freestyle while correcting other parts of their form. She also introduced proper breaststroke technique and encouraged other children to join in the lesson. Other volunteers taught the children how to swim while having fun at the same time. Throughout these two hours, a lot of improvements and great memories were made.
