AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch participated in the 2023 Asian Fall Festival event on 10/07/2023 and 10/08/2023
On October 7th and 8th, 2023, 23 members of the AYLUS RC Branch participated in the Asian Fall Festival, a large-scale event promoting Asian culture, held at the Santa Anita Park, one of the most beautiful racetracks in the Los Angeles area. Located in the picturesque city of Arcadia, the racetrack is close to neighborhoods with a significant Asian population. The festival spanned two days, with our members attending in shifts, and four members even participating on both days.
On the event days, our tasks included assisting with stage and booth setup. Some of us were assigned to a painting education institution, where we helped children engage in art activities, while others assisted in ensuring the smooth progress of performances on stage. The festival attracted numerous performance groups, not only from China but also from other Asian countries, all celebrating the bountiful season of autumn through song and dance. Additionally, we had the opportunity to watch thrilling horse races from the grandstands of the racetrack.
Due to the large attendance at the racetrack for the horse races, the Asian Fall Festival garnered significant attention from spectators, who came to enjoy various performances and admire the diverse array of Asian art showcased at the booths. It was a delightful weekend, filled with yet another rewarding volunteer activity. Each person contributed their utmost to ensure the success of the event.
