In January, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS (GPA) sorted Winter Clothing Donations at Jersey Cares. No one should go cold this winter. The health effects of extreme cold are life threatening. The unprecedented crisis created by the COVID-19 Pandemic is still affecting the lives of millions of people. Families who were already struggling are now at severe risk, and many cannot pay their utility bills. The need for coats this fall and winter will be greater than ever before.
To provide winter clothing to more people in need across the State of New Jersey, GPA encourages its members to join this Winter Clothing Drive and sorting effort to help other people.
GPA promoted the event and accepted clothing donations from multiple areas in the State of New Jersey, and nationwide. GPA has scheduled multiple deliveries of the donated items to local charity organizations, one is the Jersey Cares, and the other is Interfaith Rise for direct distribution of the needed clothes to refugees.
