The Winter Cleanup! Program, initiated by AYLUS Auburn Branch, opened on December 27th, 2023. On December 29th, we conducted a cleanup at Opelika Municipal Park. The Municipal Park, situated on Denson Drive in North Opelika (Park Rd, Opelika, AL 36801), serves as a popular gathering spot. It features several playground areas, a picnic shelter, a gazebo, and an antique miniature train known as the Rocky Brook Rocket, which operates seasonally on Sunday afternoons. We cleaned most of the park and helped improve the environment of the children’s playground.
Our members who participated in this activity are Annie Bao (1 hour), Will Bao (1 hour), Victoria Choo (1 hour), Jovi Feng (1 hour) and John Moore Saavedra (1 hour).
