The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteers at Garvies Point Preserve to help clean up the trails. Volunteers brought along trash bags and gloves as they hiked along the trails, and cleaned up the area without disturbing the natural environment there. Along the easy loop trail of 1.6 miles, various items were found, including empty bottles, broken glass, plastic, and other types of litter. Volunteers worked from 2:00 to 3:00 to help get rid of trash scattered around.
